Ultimately, I believe that big elaborate projects are insignificant without personal conversations and connections. I knew I wanted to be a positive role model for at least one other kid. He helped me become a better version of myself and was a really positive influence on me. One of the biggest influences on my grade 9 self was one of the school captains of 2020. I’ve been motivated by the service of previous Captains who created a great culture within our school.Īs a Captain, I want to show all students that doing your best is enough and you don't need to be ‘the best’ to be accomplished. I was inspired to become a School Captain because I realised it was a chance to make a positive impact on the school community. I am committed to empowering the growth of the community by fostering authenticity and compassion. I wanted to give back to the school community which has served me so well and ensure everyone can flourish in the same fulfilling and rewarding environment I experienced.
